Toronto neighbourhoods with the highest demand for homes

July 2024 Edition

Buyers Are Cautious, But Demand Remains Strong in Some Toronto Neighbourhoods

Toronto Regional Real Estate Board's data shows that both new listings and sales slowed in June compared to May of 2024. Our model indicates a further slowing of demand across the city in early July. This trend is particularly evident in the condominium market, where the number of active listings continues to grow while sales decline. Buyers are facing a high number of choices and reduced prices for apartments, which appear to have somewhat stabilized for now.

In this edition, we are looking at the areas in the city where relative demand remains stronger than elsewhere in the month of July.

Of course, it's important to note that each home is distinct and has its unique qualities. Therefore, the averages discussed below may not necessarily reflect every individual situation. Factors such as the home's condition, its specific location within the neighbourhood, and other variables can influence its sale price and speed.

Also, the accuracy of any model relies on the data it is built upon, so we encourage you to continue contributing to the platform to help us provide you with the high-quality analytics you require.

At Hausworth, we focus on providing free neighborhood and block-level data on safety, school quality, and the demand for homes, among other information.
